BHRS will be running our series of Fall Foliage excursions, which consist of two round trips. The first will be a one hour trip to Pleasant Gap, at a fare of $10 per ticket (children under age 2 are free if sitting on a lap). The second will be a three hour trip to Lock Haven Train Yard, at a cost of $25 per ticket. This second trip was originally destined for Tyrone, with a stopover at Tyrone History Museum/Train Station, but had to be changed to Lock Haven. Film production schedules for the upcoming train thriller, Unstoppable--starring Denzel Washington--interfere with our previously scheduled October 24th, 2009 Fall Foliage run to Tyrone. Therefore, BHRS is pleased to announce we will be travelling, instead, to Lock Haven. Sales were already underway when we were notified, so no change to the tickets will be made. Ticket price and departure time remain the same. This will be our first hosted excursion to Lock Haven with the train set of Mr. Jeff Pontius so it is a unique rare-mileage opportunity for riders. The scheduled turnaround point is an active yard and should provide interesting viewing. We do not advise taking small children on the Lock Haven trip.
BHRS runs 2 rail excursions in conjunction with this event with special thanks to Mr. Jeff Pontius (Vice President of North Shore Railroad Systems) for providing his historic passenger train. The timetable is displayed below.
Be prepared to board 30 minutes before departure time.
Please note that all times shown after each ride's original departure are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as, but not limited to, track congestion.

Fares for this excursion are $10.00 per ticket for the Pleasant Gap trip and $25.00 per ticket for the Lock Haven trip. Children ages 2 and under are free if they have a lap ticket and sit on an adult's lap. Lap tickets will be available at Bellefonte Train Station, from BHRS hosts, and from conductors on the day of the ride.

Tickets are available at our online Ticket Window. Ticket orders placed after Thursday, October 15, 2009 will be held at Bellefonte Train Station as will call.
For those wishing not to order tickets online, tickets and may be purchased at Bellefonte Train Station from Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and on Saturday & Sunday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, when Bellefonte Chamber of Commerce (also located in the station) is open. To make sure that a member of Bellefonte Chamber of Commerce is at the station, you may call them at 814-355-2917.
If you wish to purchase tickets via U.S. Mail, send your desired order (please indicate quantities of tickets and lap tickets, excursion date(s), and departure time(s)), a check payable to "BHRS," and a self-addressed, First Class-stamped, #9 or #10 envelope to Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society/Bellefonte Train Station/320 West High Street/Bellefonte, PA 16823. Tickets will be mailed to passengers no later than October 15, 2009. All requests that cannot be mailed by that date will be held at the station as will call.
