- Centre County Historical Society is having a special presentation, entitled "The Big Fill: Emigh's Gap," by the 1995 elected King of Hobos, Mr. Luther Gette. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at 7:00 PM, in Centre Furnace Mansion. Click here for more details and a link to the specific page on CCHS's website.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Film production schedules for the upcoming train thriller, Unstoppable, starring Denzel Washington, interfere with our previously scheduled October 24th, 2009 Fall Foliage Excursion to Tyrone; therefore, BHRS is pleased to announce we will be traveling, instead, to Lock Haven. Sales were already underway when we were notified, so no change to the tickets will be made. Ticket price and departure time remain the same. This will be our first hosted excursion to Lock Haven with the train set of Mr. Jeff Pontius, so this is a unique rare-mileage opportunity for riders. The scheduled turnaround point is an active yard, which will provide interesting viewing.

Who Are We?
Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting, preserving, and fostering a public appreciation of the railroading heritage of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and beyond. There are no paid employees or administrators.
How You May Help
BHRS is vital to the tourism industry of Bellefonte and has brought several thousand people annually to the community of Bellefonte and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The historic rail excursions are in jeopardy if the funds for restoration cannot be raised. Donations are greatly appreciated!
We are always in need of members willing to "work on the railroad." We need volunteers to be our engineers, conductors, maintenance-of-way personnel, rolling stock maintenance personnel, and administrative jobs like marketing and fundraising.
